UNICEF Funded 271 "Public Welfare" Projects in Parwan Province
Abdul Samad Sadeq, the Head of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Parwan, states that 271 "public welfare" projects have been completed and handed over for operation in the districts of Jabal Saraj and Sayed Khel in this province. He adds that these projects include road concreting, bridge construction, water channels, protective walls, water wells, and small irrigation networks. Sadeq mentions that the implementation of these projects has incurred a cost of more than 300 million Afghanis, which has been funded by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) through the Child Protection Fund, and it has been implemented by the Cooperative of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA).
